If you want to bring originality and individuality to the interior of the house, as well as decently save, you can make furniture with your own hands. The Internet offers many sources with information for a home -made master for furniture. Brief instructions are given there with a description of work with materials, surfacing and fastening of the main parts and mechanisms. But, studying them, we can conclude that the main thing, when creating furniture with your own hands, is to learn how to saw blanks with extreme accuracy and accuracy. Most likely, the first time it will not work out for you, since on the workpiece you need to make in advance a tolerance equal to the thickness of the cut line. We’ll have to be patient. Soon you will train and gain experience. And when it appears, approximately to the 10th workpiece, then two blanks will need to be glued. To do this, you need to learn how to use special glue. Basically, the above skills are the main ones in the manufacture of furniture with their own hands. Knowing this, you can make most of the frame items of furniture, such as a wardrobe or computer table. As for my experience in the manufacture of furniture, it began with the purchase of an apartment. After the acquisition and repair of money, there is not enough space left, and there are plenty of a place to carry out ideas. Then my wife and I decided that we would make the furniture ourselves and started with the hallway. To begin with, we went around all the salons of furniture, studied various options for the proposed cabinets and hallways, made sketches. After that, knowing our restriction in finance, we began to calculate in detail each installation node in order to avoid alteration and waste of material. After calculations, we came to the conclusion that the cost of accessories and materials is approximately 20% of the cost of the finished product. Having started to work, I found that it is extremely inconvenient to work with a sheet of chipboard at home because of its large sizes (175x350x16 mm). Therefore, I had to agree at work to cut it into several parts. I carried out the rest of the work on cutting at home with an electrician or disk saw. I also used a screwdriver with nozzles to drill holes and steal confirmation. With the help of an iron, I glued the brompery ribbons. In general, all preparatory work took three days. And the assembly and fitting took two days. As a result, five days later I got a wardrobe in the entire hallway, consisting of three sections, with shoe boxes, a retractable ottoman and mezzanine. From all the work, I made the following conclusions: – making furniture with my own hands is not difficult; – I saved more than 50% of the cost of the factory wardrobe; – tools that were purchased for the manufacture of furniture can also be used for other purposes. Of course, you can distinguish my cabinet from the factory, since individual disadvantages could not be eliminated completely. But the quality, in general, is quite happy with me. Not every guest was able to determine what I did the furniture with my own hands. My cabinet is already a fairly decent time and absolutely does not require repair. I am thinking in the future to change the profession and open my own furniture manufacturing workshop. And while gaining experience, I can already boast not only with a closet, but also built -in furniture in the children’s room, various nightstands and tables, not to mention summer furniture. So do not be afraid to do something with your own hands, do not be afraid of mistakes, everything will come with experience and efforts.
