For our purposes – identifying a really necessary floor area on the basis of analysis of work on each unit of equipment, operating with processed material of certain sizes and weight, it is necessary to know the dimensions of each unit of equipment, its weight, the nature of the drive and work, the place of the worker when working on this type of equipment , a method of submitting the processed material for processing and transferring it for conducting further operation on other equipment or to the warehouse.
Almost all of the lumber entering the workshop should be cut into shorter pieces, which operation is carried out and is carried out by a pendulum saw that saws the forest in the transverse direction. Attention should be paid to the fact that the forest is supplied to the full size of a pendulum saw in its full size, in the largest dimension of 6.5, and therefore the approach to the saw should be free, t. e. On the path of the movement of lumber to the pendulum saw, no machines and other equipment should be installed.
After the cross -cutting, individual pieces are shortened, but still they can have significant sizes, up to 3.0 m long, therefore, around the pendulum saw, it is necessary to leave a sufficient space for passages and possible operation with timber on other machines or for transporting products to the folding room. The pendulum saw works as its pushing on a crucified object, after cutting and release it itself, thanks to either a spring device or a counterweight device, slightly moves back from the table, in the opposite direction from the place of standing a worker.
The presentation of the material is pushing it on the saw from the side of the short size of the table, as a result of which, with longitudinal cutting, it is necessary to provide enough free space on both sides of the saw, in the direction of the long axis of the table, as well as the free space on both sides of the long sides of the table, the transverse cutting.
