DIY water floor

Undoubtedly, the warm floor in the house is comfort and convenience for all family members. Warm floors in the bedroom and children’s room, in the bathroom and in the kitchen are especially relevant. Two main heating systems of floors are water -based warm floors and electric warm floors. Water heating system of floors is quite popular all over the world. Among the main advantages of this floor heating system are their cheapness, electricity saving, greater reliability compared to electric floors, where a violation of cable insulation in one place requires a complete disassembly of the entire flooring. Water -based warm floors are an unconditional favorite when organizing additional heating of separate houses, cottages, public buildings and structures. In general, the sequence of installation of the water floor does not differ from the order of laying the warm electric floor: first the heat -insulating element is laid, then the heating element is mounted, the screed is poured on top and finally the final flooring is laid. A competent laying of the heating element is needed to ensure uniform heating of the entire floor surface. Since hot water cools down as they pass through the pipes, in case of improper installation, the floor efficiency will be low. Divide two types of laying a warm water floor: concrete and flooring systems. The concrete type of laying is the cheapest and therefore widespread. When laying the floor, the sequence is the same as when laying an electric floor with some adjustments. So, a thin reinforcing mesh when laying a water floor is not suitable, it is necessary to use a more solid reinforcement. The pipe laying step is selected arbitrarily, but it should not be done more than 30-40 cm. To lay pipes, a variety of schemes are used (snake, double snake, spiral, etc. D.), and several schemes are often combined. The incoming and outgoing ends of the pipes start in a specially arranged collector cabinet. After laying the pipes, they must be crimped. This procedure allows you to verify the absence of pipe damage before the final filling and laying the flooring. With concrete screed, a sand-concrete solution is used, while the height of the screed over the pipes should be at least three centimeters. The finish flooring should be compatible with water -type warm floors. The labeling of carpet, parquet and wooden coatings should be especially careful. The flooring system, in turn, can be wooden and polystyrene foam. Unlike the concrete laying system, the flooring system allows you to do without a concrete screed. In addition, the system is much easier and cheaper. The ease of its elements can significantly reduce the weight of the structure for the floors between the floors. Turn on the mounted warm floor no earlier than a month after the concrete screed completely dried up. The laying of a water warm floor should be performed as accurately as possible and careful. Violation of the tightness of the pipes can lead to leaks and the need to carry out a comprehensive repair. This is especially dangerous in multi -storey buildings, where with such a leak, one often has to compensate for the cost of repairing the entire entrance. Also, the argument against the use of underfloor heating in the water -based in apartment buildings is that the inclusion of a warm floor will certainly lead to a drop in hot water temperature in neighboring apartments, which, if the cause of inconvenience can be found, can turn into serious problems.
