Laminate manufacturing technology. Its advantages and disadvantages.
Laminate laying is quite simple, but requires compliance with certain points. Firstly, it is necessary to align the surface on which the laminate will be laid. DSP or fiberboard, as well as boardworms, linoleum and so on, is ideal as the basis. Secondly, a noise-absorbing substrate is necessarily used to ensure depreciation, sound insulation and aligning of small defects. It can be a cork, foamed polyethylene or special building substrates. Laminate laying is carried out in two ways: “floating” adhesive and demia. The adhesive method implies the assembly of panels using PVA -based glue, and you need to glue the ends of the panels together. At the same time, small gaps must be left near the walls, and deformation seams are needed in large areas.
The Besecle Method of Laying is more perfect – it is based on joining panels using locks. Such installation is much faster and easier.
Laminated flooring, in comparison with other types, are many advantages. The laminate is unpretentious in leaving, the dust and dirt practically do not stick to its surface, when cleaning it can be used any detergents, except for abrasive substances. He is resistant to abrasion, there are no scratches from heels or claws of animals on it. The laminate does not fade, does not need to cover oil or varnish. The surface of the laminate is antistatic and difficult.
But this material is still not durable and, moreover, does not tolerate excess moisture, which can penetrate through the joints of the plates, adversely affecting the basis. Therefore, when choosing a laminate, you should pay attention to the coating class and the degree of loads to the surface. The higher the class – the longer you can operate the laminate.
