Plasterboard structures are plates that consist of a gypsum core pasted with special cardboard on both sides. Such panels are not toxic. They are deprived of smell. This electrically neutral material has the ability to absorb and release moisture into the surrounding air, depending on the environmental conditions. For premises in which high humidity (kitchens, bathrooms) are constantly observed preferable to choose moisture -resistant drywall panels. It is better to carry out the sheathing of attic premises and gas pipelines using fireproof drywall, since in these rooms there is a danger of a fire. When producing stretch ceilings by rail, drywall is also used as the main material.
Thanks to the lightness of drywall structures, they can be used even for finishing work in buildings where there is a restriction on the load on the ceilings (reconstructed buildings), as well as in rooms where there is no way to apply traditional types of decoration. With the help of drywall, you can adjust the height of the ceiling, hide the communications and elements of the frame, wiring. The suspended ceiling can be given various forms: arched, vaulted, inclined, etc. Hague or raster lamps can be built into it. To achieve optimal thermal and soundproofing characteristics, it is necessary to combine drywall with heat – and soundproofing materials.
