Features of work with mounting foam
Whatever work with mounting foam, it is always necessary to remember the protection, in this case about gloves.
All installation work is best done in the warm season, when the air temperature is +5 – +30 ° C, although the most ideal temperature of +20 ° C is considered the most ideal. This provides a better processing process (polymerization). Of course, this applies to the usual mounting foam, but there is a special winter foam that can be used and at negative temperatures.
Before using foam, it is necessary to prepare and treat the surface (gap), washing it with water. To do this, you can use a regular spray gun, which is used to moisturize plants or linen during ironing. “Wet cleaning” of the place where the work is coming, has a beneficial effect on staging the foam, t. To. For the process, it is important not only temperature, but also air humidity.
The foam works perfectly when the cracks are sealed, the width of which is at least 1 cm and does not exceed 8 cm. If it is necessary to carry out work with a larger defect, then it makes sense to first fill it with the material cheaper (brick, wood, foam, plastic). And in the case of a defect of less than 1 cm, you can use any sealants or putty.
Before starting work, it is necessary to shake the balloon with foam well, because the mounting foam itself is a set of components that should be well mixed with each other to ensure the successful completion of the task.
Squeezing the foam occurs in the position of the cylinder with a directed by the dispenser, otherwise the gas-spacer, which in its properties is easier than other components, will fly out of the capacity.
