If the tape remains clean, and there are no coating particles on it, then this base is suitable for gluing tiles. Otherwise, you will have to completely clean the ceiling from the existing coating. Plus, the base must be dry, that is, if the surface was aligned using plaster or putty mixtures, then you need to give a certain time to complete drying out. Also, the base must be made quite even, even despite the fact that the tile can hide some flaws. Such irregularities as, for example, concrete influxes that prevent the shower cabs from putting it, it will be necessary to remove and grind it, and it is advisable to align the cracks and joints of the floor slabs with putty. As an adhesive composition for polystyrene foam tiles, you can use both a special glue recommended by the manufacturer for its fixation, as well as PVA or the so -called liquid nails, which also can cope with this task. Apply the adhesive composition to the back of the tiles can be pointed, since it has a slight weight.
