Repair of damaged foundations
Often, even on buildings built relatively recently, you can observe the presence of cracks and breaks. Such deformations most often appear as a result of damage to the foundations. There are a number of reasons why these damage could occur:
– errors made during design;
– constructive and production defects allowed when laying the foundation;
– Incorrect operation, most often associated with a malfunction of the water supply systems, which leads to leaching or soaking soils and foundation.
The solution to the problems of repairing the foundation can be carried out in three ways: this is strengthening the grounds, strengthening and strengthening the foundations.
Strengthening the grounds implies soil compaction. For this, various solutions are added to the ground through a special injector – hardeners. For example bitumen, silicates, cement or special resins.
Formation of foundations is used for relatively small deformations. Most often, a method of repair is used using reinforced concrete clips and “introducing” Portland cement injections. At the same time, the reinforcing cage is attached to the destroyed sections of the foundation and cement.
Strengthening foundations is the most technologically complex way of repairing. In this case, a change in the depth of the foundation is implied and the load overflow from the structure to more durable soils. Zones subject to strengthening are divided into areas. All work is carried out sequentially in the areas, starting from the most weakened.
All foundations repair work are time -consuming and expensive. Therefore, it is better to take into account all the nuances of the construction and operation of the foundation at the design and bookmark stage.
