Floor coatings
There are not so many types of flooring. Especially popular among the population. Let’s look at the features of each such type of coating. Laminate the name comes from the lamination process, which is a pressing melamine. This is the most economical and modern type of flooring and not only it.
The popularity of the laminate is caused by a number of factors:
– Its cost is significantly lower than the cost of parquet or floor of a tree;
– the aesthetic and functional characteristics of this product are quite high;
– laminate is very resistant to mechanical influences, moisture or pollution;
– Care is not difficult;
– its styling is quite simple.
Even without special skills, you can cope yourself;
– floors with this type of coating can be mounted in any room. This is not a parquet that is afraid of the aggressive environment of the kitchen, bathroom, etc. D.;
– The operation of laminated floors has a very long time;
– This flooring does not dry out, does not crack, does not lose its appearance. The characteristics of this type of coating are due to a feature of the structure of the laminate – its multi -layer. Each of the layers of laminate performs special functions. So, the lower layer is a hydraulic – and thermal insulation. But the upper layer, in addition to its transparency, also acts as counteracting pollution from above. In the middle there is a layer that imitates the texture, as well as the color of stone or wood. If you started construction or repair and choose a laminate, then you should immediately know that from the existing classification it suits you.
Laminate classes depend on its strength:
– Grade 31 is intended for use in office and home rooms with low load on the floor. It will last 12 years at home or 2-3 years in the office;
– Grade 32 – the same types of premises, but already with the average load. Therefore, at home he will last three years longer, and in commercial rooms two years longer;
– Grade 33 – for premises of the same types, but with the highest load. At home serves up to 20 years, and in commercial premises – up to 6 years.
Occasionally there is a 34th grade – with an even more prolonged service life.
