Since antiquity, the traditions of painting of furniture items remained. Today, painting furniture with your own hands again in fashion. With the help of this technique, an ordinary thing at first glance can be turned into a work of art. In a single style, you can paint not only furniture, but also walls, doors, place the corresponding accessories around the room. This approach to creating the interior is very relevant lately. It looks very beautiful and original to process the surface of the furniture in the technique “Decoupage”. First, select the surface- for example a tree, although it is possible to cover metal and glass. We buy paint, glue, primer, varnish. We take ordinary paper napkins with a pattern, flat brushes and acrylic paint: – carefully relax the napkins, remove the upper layer with a pattern; – cut out the desired template from the napkin; – degrease the surface of the furniture; – stain the processed product with a paint with a beam so that the drawing from the napkin is visible; – we put a napkin on the product and cover it with glue from the outside (it is better to use a sponge for glue, not a brush); – if desired, acrylic paint can be finished or fragments of the picture; – using the primer, some details can be given volume; – after the drawing completely dry, we cover it with at least two layers of varnish (before applying the second layer, wait for the first one). In the technique of decoupage, you can process the surface of the furniture and without a pattern. We cover the surface with PVA glue, moisten the thread with water, then lower it into glue and soak it there. And then we glue the thread on the surface of the furniture so that a certain ornament forms. You can correct the pattern using a toothpick. A thread pattern can be supplemented with a putty ornament. Most often they paint children’s furniture, this allows you to create a fabulous atmosphere and a good mood for the child. DIY furniture painting is also an opportunity to give a second life to their old, having lost its former appearance of furniture. To do this, you will need to remove the layer of old paint or skip the surface with sandpaper. To create some complex drawing, you will need painting skills, but if they are not there, you can apply graphic images to the furniture surface. Translate the image you like to the furniture using a carpet. Circle the printed pattern of oil or acrylic paint. After drying the paint, apply one layer of varnish or several on the processed surface. You can paint not only a hard surface, but also the seats of chairs, chairs, sofas, ottomans. For this work, you will need acrylic paint on fabric. This is not a paint for a batik, it resembles artistic acrylic, but when drying it is more elastic. Jlya Acrylic Tissue paint is perfectly clamped with jeans. burlap and other inelastic fabrics. In addition to acrylic paint for fabric, you need acrylic contours to circle the pattern. DIY mural techniques with your own hands: – throw a drawing on paper; – Cut the stencil; – through a stencil stamping the paint on the fabric using a foam sponge (as the paint is applied more uniformly than if you do it with a brush); – The first layer of paint is slightly transparent, let it dry; – after drying the paint, the surface of the fabric ceases to absorb water and can already be drawn on it with a brush; – after the drawing dries, circle it with an acrylic contour. For painting, it is recommended to use domestic acrylic paints and contours Decola. They have good quality and acceptable price.
